Sheet metal is a strong material, where the plasticity makes it easily workable. Steel is most often used to fabricate complementary parts for steel roof structures; however, sheet metal has many more applications.

Description

Flat steel sheet metal in sheet form is a material that has a wide range of applications in the construction sector. This product is often used to create various types of processing, but also as a stand-alone surface finish, e.g. to make a classic standing seam panel or chimney casing elements made on the construction site. The high functionality of flat sheet metal is primarily due to:

  • strength and durability – the performance parameters of flat sheet metal make it resistant to mechanical damage and weather conditions;
  • corrosion resistance – the sheets are covered with metallic and organic protective layers that provide resistance to corrosive agents;
  • lightness – steel sheet metal is low in weight compared to other materials, which facilitates transport and assembly and reduces the loads exerted on the building's structural elements;
  • fire resistance – the sheet metal does not pose a threat in the event of a fire;
  • low maintenance costs – steel roofing sheets do not require complicated maintenance procedures, especially if they are covered with an appropriate protective coating.

The Balex Metal range includes various types of flat sheets fully adapted to specific requirements. We offer sheets that are diversified, among others, in terms of protective coatings and colours, both in standard sizes 1240x2000 and those tailored to size.
